EXTRA-ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The 3rd July 2025, was the day of the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Bible Society of Rwanda, whereby the members of BSR, who are Churches representatives and other Christian Organizations’ leaders, gathered at St.Famille Hotel to discuss the agenda’s items.
This Extra GA took place as the second assembly in 2025 because of important matters to discuss and to decide on in support of BSR’s work advancement, and to keep BSR updated on laws and regulations. During the assembly, matters under review included the approval of the revised laws as the highest organ of BSR, but also to renew the other three organs that completed their terms in their respective committees.
The Extra General Assembly (GA) was dedicated solely to addressing the key agenda items, ensuring a focused and productive session. During this assembly, the participants thoroughly reviewed and approved the revised laws, reflecting a significant step forward in governance. Additionally, new leaders were warmly welcomed into several vital committees, including:
- Board of Directors: Responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategic direction.
- Conflict Resolution Committee: Tasked with preventing, addressing, and resolving disputes effectively.
- Audit Committee: Charged with ensuring transparency and accountability in financial reporting.
With all participants present, the Extra GA maintained an atmosphere of collaboration and diligence, enabling the assembly to carry out its tasks efficiently and conclude the meeting on a successful note.
