BSR HOSTED ITS GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 2025
Every Year, the Bible Society of Rwanda hosts its Annual General Assembly, whereby the members of BSR gather as the highest decision-making body to discuss various reports produced throughout the year of work at BSR.
The year 2024 was a very productive year of work, through which BSR moved forward, adding to its existing work in the direction of its mission and vision in Rwanda and in other Kinyarwanda-speaking communities around the world.
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at St. Famille Hotel, the Annual General Assembly of the Bible Society of Rwanda was held. The assembly gathered Catholic Bishops, Church Leaders, legal representatives of denominations that are members of the Bible Society of Rwanda, its Bureau and Board Members, as well as internal auditors and independent external auditors, not to mention the staff of BSR.
Chaired by His Eminence Antoine Cardinal KAMBANDA, the Legal Representative of the Bible Society of Rwanda, the Annual General Assembly did its work that included:
Receiving the implementation of the resolutions of the previous assembly held in March 2024, The hearing of the BSR’s Audited Financial Statements for the year 2024, The proposed BSR’s Action Plan of 2025 as presented by the General Secretary of BSR together with the proposed #AnnualBudget for the realization of the action plan.
The General Assembly Participants also discussed other matters of concern for the advancement of services at the Bible Society of Rwanda together with its member churches that it serves, and after discussing various presented reports and the action plan of 2025, as well as its budget, approved them. The General Assembly also reviewed proposed resolutions from discussions of the GA2025 and #ApprovedThem.
The General Assembly thanked the Staff of the Bible Society of Rwanda for having worked hard towards the mission of BSR and were encouraged to keep the spirit up in the future as we advance the Kingdom of God.
